What we seek in a home generally :
- Congenial for all our needs.
- Comfortable for all including Sr citizen/ children
- A retreat to sit back, unwind and relax.
- Facilitates ‘Work from home’ when needed.
- Attractive & reflects our culture , taste & style
All these requirements have made well-planned interiors a necessity now.
DO I NEED A PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT?
Gone are the days when engaging an Architect / Interior designer was considered pompous and extravagant
All in the family have dreams for their much-cherished home which need to be addressed. The house which is handed over to us is a crude division of spaces.
We have experienced that poorly designed large houses can be lacking in space, whereas a tiny apartment if professionally designed can be an example of functionality.
Considering hectic work schedules, it helps in saving our valuable time.
While we see a space for what ‘ It is ‘, Architect will see it for what ‘ It could be.
Skill full & innovative alternatives need to be worked out to have the space efficiently service our needs, which should also be exclusively attractive
Professional support is thus needed for:
- Most intelligent selection of design theme.
- Functional & smooth division of spaces
- Conducive color combinations.
- Proper customisation , fabrication & installation of furniture
- Optimally useful selection of materials already spoilt for choice .
- Deployment of experienced workmen & artisans.
- Support through complete furnishing and decoratives to have a charming home.
Often without such a professional approach, we end up spending more time & money, and yet satisfaction eludes us.
Experience has also shown that an efficient design executed with the right workmen & material is also low on maintenance.
Post-completion changes on needs emerging as an afterthought and cost thereof, are also avoidable.
So the obvious answer is ‘ Yes, to have an Architect associated with us is an asset .’
WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN ENGAGING A PROFESSIONAL
