• Experienced & well equipped : Relevant experience  and equipped with latest softwares like 3 D is necessary.
• Compatable & inspiring : An Architect who lnspires , gets your mind , likes , dislikes on critical issues. You should be comfortable communicating with her / him.
• Balances aspirations with budget : He should value your budgetary limits and balance your aspirations accordingly.
• Integrity : Valuable virtue in any professional.
• Leads in coordinating execution : All designs need careful execution. The Architect / interior designer  should be one who takes lead in execution and pre-empts delays. A dedicated work shop to fabricate furniture / home décor is great asset for customised furnishing.
• Welcomes colloboration : Initially & useful uptostructure level , there generally is an Architect already . The interior Architect should encourage colloboration with the structure Architect ,where ever necessary . It serves best interest of the end user .

INTERIORS – CONCEPTUALISATION, DESIGN, AND EXECUTION ;

It is an intense, interactive, and technology-driven exercise largely comprising the following :

• Detailed site evaluation as to space , existing features , ventilation , orientation , electric / power points & proper measurements.
• Grasping the needs , style preferences , special requirements of Sr. citizen / children etc of the family.
• Categorising the needs of the family into ‘Must haves’ and ‘Good to haves’.
• Choosing design themes : The designer gets you acquainted with various themes and styles like :  CONTEMPRARY ,MODERN , ORIENTAL , MINIMALIST , ECLECTIC STYLE , FARMHOUSE TYPE . Even a combination theme customised to your likes can be an option.
• DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS : Designer will consider AMBIENCE , FUNCTIONS , FAMILY SIZE , AESTHETICS & COMFORT , NEEDS OF SR. CITIZEN / CHILDREN  & ERGONOMICS CONSIDERING NEED FOR WORK FROM HOME .

• DETAILED WORKING DRAWINGS , BOQ ( BILL OFF QUANTITIES) , EXECUTION & MONITORING : Based on the design finalised the Architect will prepare detailed working drawings . The BOQ will accordingly be prepared and rates finalised. Different vendors are carefully finalised considering site logistics .

The execution phase will cover Supervision for conforming to quality & design, Progress monitoring for adhering to time schedule, finalization of customized designs for furniture, fabrication of furniture, interior completion & installation of furniture, selection, procurement & installation of decoratives & drapery.

The final step will be site clearance and the much-awaited ‘ House warming ‘.
